Event Description
The 2016 Malaysia VEX Robotics National Competition will be held from February 19, 2016 to February 21, 2016 at The School, Jaya One, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This event is organized by Robotics Learning (M) Sdn Bhd and is supported by The Ministry of Education Malaysia. This competition is open to all primary and secondary schools in Malaysia. The game for the 2015-16 competition year is Nothing But Net; an exciting, fast-paced game in which robots try to score in a variety of ways.
In the VEX Competitions, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams from around the world in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels; local champions go on to compete against the best in the world at VEX Worlds each April!
The 2016 VEX Worlds will be held April 20-23, in Louisville, Kentucky. The event is a gathering of top robotics teams from around the world to celebrate their accomplishments and compete with and against the best of the best.
The event will feature top teams from over 1,000 VEX Robotics tournaments happening in cities around the world from June 2015 through March 2016.
The 2016 VEX World Championship Global Sponsors includes: Northrop Grumman Foundation, US Army, Chevron, EMC Corporation, Hexbug, Innovation First, Texas Instrument, Microchip and Robomatter.
Other VEX Worlds Sponsors: HelmsBriscoe, Mathworks, Nissan, Toyota, UPS, Ford and GlowTouch Technologies.
The Excellence Award winner at the 2016 Malaysia VEX Robotics National Competition will earn a spot at the 2016 VEX World Championship.
